Experiences have no meaning other than the meaning we give them. We look for relationships between events and experiences and put them into a context frame and decide that when y happens that means z. We create a belief, put it into a box and stick it on a shelf, collecting dust. If we want more of something in our life that we currently don't have it may be useful to get it down again, unpack the box and return from assumption to curiosity and begin an exploration into the bits we may have missed.
 
Einstein is quoted as having said "If you want to change your life you have to change your mind". If you want to notice more of something, look for it ; gathering evidence, with an open mind, that more of it exists changes what you see. The very act of doing this produces results and your mind begins to notice that what you wanted was already there, you had just limited your ability to feel it.
 
Try this experiment- Stop for a moment if you will and look around you, noticing everything that is red. How many things did you see that were green? When we are looking for something that we have imposed a limitation on we don't always notice what else may be there.
